We at Mindspa have become aware of a concerning issue that we would like to bring to your attention. A company called "Synctuition", based in Estonia, is attempting to completely rebrand their mobile app using our trademarked name, "Mindspa". We want to make it clear that we have no affiliation with Mindspa OÜ, formerly known as Synctuition OÜ, or any of their linked or partner companies such as Kindlife Eesti OÜ or Silen OÜ. We are in no way associated with their products or business.
At Mindspa, we are dedicated to providing high-quality mental health resources and services to our customers. We have invested significant resources and effort into building our brand and trademark, which was deposited at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in 2019. As such, we will not tolerate any other company infringing on our intellectual property.
We first became aware of Synctuition using our trademark without permission in August 2020. Despite repeated attempts to stop the infringement, including informal requests, letters from our attorneys, as well as various opposition procedures in trademark offices, they continue to use our name Mindspa with impunity in classes of goods and services protected by our registered trademark. In February 2023, the most recent EUIPO decision on the opposition procedure ruled in our favor, yet the infringing party has since announced a total rebranding of their mobile application from Synctuition to Mindspa, and continues to use our name with increased frequency without permission. Our lawyers are now handling this matter to ensure justice is served for the damages caused to our business, reputation, and the confusion caused to our customers.
We want to assure our customers, partners, and stakeholders that Mindspa remains committed to promoting mental wellness and providing effective, evidence-based mental health resources. We will continue to innovate and improve our products and services to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
